Before first use

For masks and warming wraps, leave the sachet sealed until you are ready to use it. Opening the sachet starts the warming process; no charging or external heating is needed.

Read the directions and warnings for the individual product, including where to place it and its use limit. Remain awake and able to remove it yourself. Remove immediately if too hot, uncomfortable or irritating to the skin.

Each mask or warming wrap is single-use. Never microwave, reheat or reuse it. For reusable accessories, follow the separate care instructions in the product description.
Storage and disposal

Keep unopened mask and wrap sachets in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat sources. Store them beyond the reach of children and pets.

Allow a used mask or wrap to cool fully before disposal. Keep reusable accessories and follow their separate care instructions. Do not place an opened, used or still-warm mask or wrap inside a carry pouch.
Shipping & returns

Standard shipping to eligible U.S. addresses is US$8.50 for merchandise subtotals below US$65, and complimentary at US$65 or more. The threshold applies after discounts and before tax. The same rule applies to eligible subscription deliveries. Any applicable taxes are shown before payment. See our Shipping Policy for destinations and estimated dispatch and transit times.

Use & materials

An unscented self-heating eye mask for a screen break

FERMATA Ritual MIST 01 is an unscented, air-activated, single-use eye mask for personal warmth and comfort over closed eyes, while you stay awake. Ear loops hold it in place.

Unscented describes the product’s scent. It is not a claim that MIST 01 is hypoallergenic or suitable for every eye or skin condition.

Set the screen aside

Close the laptop, or turn the phone face down. Sit somewhere you can stay awake, open one sachet and rest the mask over closed eyes.

Use it for no more than 20 minutes per session. Twenty minutes is an upper limit, not a recommended duration or a goal. Actual warmth and duration vary.

MIST 01 is intended for personal warmth and comfort. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent a medical condition.

Before you begin

For step-by-step directions, see How to use MIST 01.

Selected precautions

This is a summary, not the complete list. Read the pack instructions and the full Product Safety guidance before use.

  • Use only over closed eyes, while you are awake and able to remove the mask yourself. Never sleep in it, lie on it or press it against your eyes.
  • Use for no more than 20 minutes per session. Remove it immediately if it feels too hot or uncomfortable.
  • Do not use with an eye infection or eye inflammation, or on broken, irritated, swollen or rash-prone skin around the eyes.
  • Consult a physician before use if you have diabetes, poor circulation, reduced heat sensitivity, recent eye surgery, or any condition affecting the eyes or skin.
  • Not for infants or anyone unable to remove the mask without assistance. Children require adult supervision, as directed on the pack. Supervision does not replace the requirement that the wearer can remove the mask independently.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Warming products can cause burns. Stop use and remove the mask immediately if you notice pain, redness, itching, swelling, irritation or any other unusual reaction, and seek medical help as appropriate.
  • If your vision is temporarily blurred after use, wait until it clears before driving or operating machinery. If it has not cleared within one hour, consult an eye-care professional.
  • Do not microwave, cut, puncture, reheat or reuse.
  • For external use only. Do not ingest the contents. If swallowed, seek medical advice or contact a poison control center immediately.
